|Glen Rouge Campground
Rouge Park is home to Toronto's only camping spot, the Glen Rouge Campground. The 8.7 hectare campground is located on the western bank of the Rouge River, conveniently located near major highways, public transit (TTC and GO Transit) and the various tourist attractions of downtown Toronto.
Glen Rouge Campground is an ideal base for visiting the sandy beach and the many trails in Rouge Park, as well as convenient accommodation for visitors to the Toronto area.
Hours of operation
The park is now closed until the 2007 season. It will reopen in May 11-Oct 10, 2007. During the operating season, the campground is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Admission and user fees (rates are subject to change)
The Glen Rouge campground has 125 sites; 27 of the sites are unserviced, the other 87 have electrical and water hook-ups. Tent-only, automobile and RV sites are available. Public phones and fully-equipped washrooms with showers and a sanitary sewage disposal for RVs are available for campers.
Serviced sites: $30/day; $189/week; $718/month
Unserviced sites: $22/day; $138/week; $526/month
Non-vehicle sites (bicyclists, back-packers): $14/day
Extra tent of vehicle at site: $8/day
Sanitary sewage disposal fee: $10

People coming from other parts of the Greater Toronto Area may find GO Transit helpful to get them to the general vicinity of the campground; the nearest GO Train station is Rouge Hill on Lawrence Avenue East. Call 1.888.GET.ON.GO (438.6646) for details on routes and schedules.
From Highway 401: exit Port Union Road northbound. Turn right (eastbound) at Kingston Road/Highway 2. Campground entrance is on north side of Kingston Road, immediately west of the bridge over the Rouge River, west of Altona Road in Pickering.
